The Oticon ConnectClip is a multi-functional wireless accessory. It turns compatible Oticon hearing aids into a high quality, wireless headset for hands-free calls and listening to music or podcasts in stereo. It also operates with any modern smartphone, music player or computer (via the USB Adapter BTD 800) and also the Phone Adapter 2.0 for traditional landline phones. In addition, it is a wireless remote microphone. And finally, it can be used as a remote control for compatible Oticon hearing aids.

IMPORTANT: Some of the technological features described may not be as effective or suitable depending upon the severity and nature of your hearing loss. A fully qualified and registered Audiologist or Hearing Aid Audiologist will be able to advise accordingly.

Quality hands-free calls for any smartphone

ConnectClip turns compatible Oticon hearing aids into a hands-free mobile headset. It connects to any modern smartphone via 2.4 GHz Bluetooth Low Energy and streams rich sound to both ears, while capturing your own voice in high resolution. It can also wirelessly connect to the Phone Adapter 2.0 to stream phone conversation from traditional landline phones.

Bluetooth low energy – Better than classic Bluetooth®

This cutting-edge streaming protocol places ConnectClip ahead of the pack, allowing a much broader frequency bandwidth than classic Bluetooth. Bluetooth low energy is also the technology that enables ConnectClip to stream sound to both ears, and keeps battery consumption low.

Wireless stereo headphones

Headphones are well integrated into our lives, but many hearing aid users can’t simply plug in and play. However, with ConnectClip, all smartphone and tablet  can wirelessly stream music videos or podcasts to both ears – in high-quality, stereo sound. Meanwhile, you can still hear the sounds all around you.

Remote microphone sends speech to your client’s ears

At a lecture or presentation, or anywhere where you need help to hear someone’s voice more clearly, ConnectClip gives a helping hand. You just simply give the ConnectClip to the person you need to hear, and it wirelessly streams that person’s voice directly into your hearing aids from up to 20 metres away. This is especially useful in situations such as:

  • Educational lectures and classrooms
  • Speeches at weddings, birthdays and anniversaries
  • Inside a car
  • In a bar or very noisy restaurant
  • Business presentations

Discreet hearing aid remote control

ConnectClip functions as a remote control for Oticon hearing aids, allowing you to adjust the volume and change the programme remotely. This gives you another option for controlling your hearing aids, in addition to using the Oticon ON App or the dedicated remote control available.

Easy video calls with friends and family

As a Bluetooth hearing aid headset, ConnectClip is ideal for video calls on a computer, tablet or mobile phone.

For any devices without Bluetooth built in, Oticon provides a BTD 800 USB Bluetooth dongle that simply plugs into a USB port, and gives a range of up to 10 metres from the device.

Oticon ON app

Use the Oticon ON app with your iPhone or Android smartphone to control your hearing aids, adjust the sound and choose what you want to hear. The Oticon ON app is also used to connect users to their Oticon IFTTT channel.
